The Boss 302 alternator kit which was used on the factory production 2012 Mustang Boss 302 includes special high performance components that are designed to operate at higher RPMs The alternator kit fits Mustang GT 5.0L Ti-VCT coyote engine and features: High performance Boss 302 Alternator features a 1-way clutch to prevent belt slippage (hop-off) during upshifts A belt tensioner with higher tension To slow the armature speed, reduce drag and reduce parasitic hp loss a larger pulley is used Also fits Ford 5.0L V8 4V TiVCT crate engines (part# M-6007-M50, -A50NA - A50SC - M50B - and M50BR) Alternator kit includes OEM factory Mustang BOSS 302 alternator, tensioner, idler pulley belt and mounting hardware Special Order, Please allow for longer than normal lead times.
