By kicking a foot under the center of the rear bumper and through the sensors’ emission field, the circuit completes and triggers a search for the key fob On vehicles equipped with the Class II or Class III Trailer Tow Package, a sensor is located on each side of the trailer hitch receiver To activate the liftgate, use a slight kicking motion on either side of the hitch receiver (left or right) Once the sensors receive verification from the key fob, they will send an electronic impulse to the liftgate latching system, and cause the liftgate to open or close."
